Introduction to the Healthy Taiwan Council
At the press conference marking the one-month anniversary of the inauguration of the "New Taiwan in the Era of Trustworthy New Policies" on June 19, 2024, President Lai Ching-te announced the establishment of the "Healthy Taiwan Promotion Committee" and personally served as convener. Professor Chen Zhihong, convener of the "Healthy Taiwan Promotion Alliance", Weng Qihui, President of the National Biotechnology and Medical Industry Promotion Council, and Chen Shizhong, Executive Yuan Councillor, served as vice conveners. Representatives from government agencies and scholars and experts in the medical field from all walks of life were invited to serve as members and advisors.
